Our Return to Teaching course is designed to help and support qualified teachers who, for whatever reason, have been away from the classroom for at least one year.
Its main purpose is to update your skills and build your confidence before you return to the classroom. All aspects of the course are designed to help you understand the many changes that have taken place in the teaching profession in the recent past.
This is done through your supported work in an appropriate school, by central sessions led by practising teachers and educationalists and by the self study that supports the sessions. In addition, areas that may cause you concern are addressed and support provided where appropriate.
All members of the course are qualified teachers and will be treated as such, the central sessions being deliberately informal with the accent placed on discussion.
