Over the past year the Robert Owen Group has undertaken some organisational changes.
Our initial teacher education courses were previously run under three separate providers: the West Mercia Consortium (Early Years SCITE), the Marches Consortium (Secondary SCITE) and the Robert Owen Consortium (Primary and Secondary EBITE), all under the Robert Owen Society overarching umbrella.
We have now changed our name to the Robert Owen Group and have brought all of our initial teacher education provision into one provider, the Robert Owen Society.
We still deliver high quality, hands on initial teacher education with our partnership of schools and colleges, but now under one single provider.

Employment Based Initial Teacher Education (EBITE)
Applications for the Employment Based Initial Teacher Education courses should be made on-line via the TDA on-line application process. Go to www.tda.gov.uk for more information.
Applicants are required to find a school prepared to employ them and will not be accepted on to the course until they have a school. We can offer advice on this process but the final onus is on the candidate to find a school.
Applicants will be offered an interview should they meet the relevant entry requirements, have a suitable placement school and the potential to become a teacher.
Interviews will take place firstly by the employing school and then centrally by the Robert Owen Group.
Further information about the EBITE routes can be obtained by downloading our 'Your Questions Answered' document here.
