Co-operative Establishment of the Year 2009 - a belated presentation
St James’ Primary School, Hereford, was awarded the Robert Owen Co-operative Establishment of the year for academic year 2008 - 09. Unfortunately the Headteacher was unable to attend the November 2009 Graduation and Awards Evening to accept this highly valued recognition.
So Abi Horsburgh, Customer Relations & Marketing Manager, and Chris Morgan, President of The Robert Owen Group, travelled out to St James to hand over the award to the new Headteacher, Kathy Weston, with the staff in attendance.
It was a lovely informal event and demonstrates clearly the strength of The Co-operative of The Robert Owen Group.
The three other establishments who received the award last year were Minsterley Primary School (Minsterley, Shropshire), The Minster College (Leominster, Herefordshire) and Sir Thomas Boughey High School & Co-operative Business and Enterprise College (Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire).
