The Robert Owen Group presents more Co-operative Awards

On 12th January 2011, the Robert Owen Group presented two more of its Co-operative Awards. The Awards celebrate the co-operative values and principles and pay recognition to those who promote the values in their everyday lives and work.

Sir Thomas Boughey Co-operative Business College in Stoke on Trent was the venue for the presentation. Two award winners: Kimberley Jervis, who was awarded Co-operative Trainee Teacher and Eunice Freakley, Co-operative Mentor, came along to the College to receive their awards as well finding out more about the Co-operative Business College.

Speaking about the awards, Abi Horsburgh, Customer Relations and Marketing Manager at the Robert Owen Group said,

“Both Kimberley and Eunice were involved with our teacher training courses last year. Kimberley as a Trainee Teacher and Eunice as a Mentor. The awards recognise their hard work and dedication to the training courses as well as their promotion of the co-operative values and principles in their work.  Sir Thomas Boughey Co-operative Business College and Co-operative Trust School, was the perfect venue to present these awards as it is the embodiment of co-operative values and principles and is an outstanding example of the co-operative values at work in the education environment.

“As the only co-operative teacher training provider in the UK, we feel it is important that all of our teachers understand the Co-operative Values and Principles and the relevant role they have within education today.”

The Robert Owen Group will continue to present their Co-operative Awards to fellow co-operators who promote the co-operative values and principles, as the co-operative way continues to find common purpose across our society.
