Felicity Norman

Outside Representations, Interests and Areas of Expertise:

Felicity Norman has lived and worked in many different parts of the world. Her work has included farming and teaching. She is married with two daughters and lives on a smallholding in Herefordshire, where she teaches part-time. She is a member of campaigning groups such as Friends of the Earth (FOE) and Amnesty International. She has helped to organise workshops and seminars on farming, environmental, and peace and justice issues. For relaxation, Felicity enjoys walking with her family, reading and gardening

Felicity has worked with several voluntary organisations, including Shopmobility, where she has been a trustee for many years.  Felicity is also:

  • a  school governor at Leominster’s Minster College
  • organiser of Leominster Apple Fair which celebrates the huge variety of different apples, and encourages support for local food.
  • a member of the LeAD steering group, which is promoting a community owned renewable energy project for Leominster.

Felicity has been an active member of the Green Party for 25 years, serving at both local and national level. She has been a candidate in local, national and European elections. She was twice elected to Leominster District Council, and has been the Green Party’s speaker on Agriculture. She was the Green Party’s lead candidate in the West Midlands for the recent European Elections, and has been selected as Parliamentary candidate in the North Herefordshire constituency.

She is especially interested in food, farming and rural issues, and has campaigned for small, family farms, a fairer deal for producers, organic and local food, better animal welfare standards, greater biodiversity, and allotments.
