As a co-operative organisation our members all have a say in what we do and how we do it.
Our members are our schools and colleges with whom we train teachers and to join us in training teachers, schools and colleges pay a nominal £1 share to become a member.
Our members are also community and voluntary groups and other interested individuals.
Membership entitles our members to one vote at the Annual General Meeting, normally held in November.
Within the Robert Owen Group exist the following organisations with the following responsibilities:
The Robert Owen Foundation:
The Robert Owen Foundation has responsibility for governance; quality and continuous improvement; finance and policy; leadership.
The Robert Owen Society:
The Robert Owen Society has responsibility for support services and new business, including regeneration, enterprise and the third sector.
The Marches Consortium:
The Marches Consortium has responsibility for community and people development with a primary focus on education, training and development, including research.
We are proud members of Co-operatives UK, which unites, serves and represents co-operative organisations in the UK.
