The Robert Owen Group is a co-operative organisation with three core elements of education, training and regeneration.
We are underpinned in all that we do by our co-operative values.
We are a not-for-profit Group and we re-invest our surplus income in projects based in our communities in the UK and overseas.
Our core business activity is initial teacher education and we are one of the largest providers of our kind in the country.
With over 17 years of experience in education, training and regeneration, the Robert Owen Group is a well established co-operative organisation based in Herefordshire and operating across the West Midlands and Marches border region.
We’ve got a long and established history of working with schools and communities to deliver initial teacher education courses, education projects and regeneration activities, working to bring the school and community together.
We have been training teachers since 1998 through initial teacher education courses and we’re one of the largest co-operative teacher training providers in the country. Our teacher education courses are run in partnership and co-operation with schools and colleges across the region. By providing school centred and employment based initial teacher education courses our schools and colleges can take ownership for training the next generation of teachers and the trainees have the opportunity to learn directly from professionals in the workplace.
Our schools and colleges are our members and they see the value in school centred training as it gives them the opportunity to be more involved and to train a better standard of teacher.
